Sign design encompasses flip sides of the same coin. Aesthetic design is the first step in the creation of any sign. Factors such as size, color, target market, and cost are taken into account as a sign concept is being developed.
Once the concept is approved, then a fabrication design is done in order to provide the information necessary to construct the sign. Measurements, fonts, colors, and materials are noted on this set of drawings as well as distances between points, attachment specifications, and and additional factors that play a role in how the sign is made or installed.
